I spent years following this diet or that, trying to find the perfect fit that would help me to lose weight, (or maintain) and not leave me feeling deprived and depressed. I finally found answers that worked for me.

However I watch other people struggle with feelings of inadequacy over their diet, or regulations from their doctors that make life just so restricting. I’ve seen friends deny themselves going to parties or gatherings because they might be tempted by food they “can’t” have. I’ve watched friends fight to lose weight and then get depressed and eat way too much of something just because it is an indulgence that they felt they shouldn’t have. Then they feel like a failure and say they have given up. It makes me sad to see friends emotions and ability to make important life decisions, being controlled by a need to diet.

I’d like to be able to help those who struggle find their answers. We should all be able to live our lives, not just survive around our diets. It’s not that there is anything wrong with following a diet or eating plan. There is just a better way to do it without stress and feelings of inadequacy. Taking control of our lives and eating healthier should not cause us misery. It should give us a sense of accomplishment and joy. Everyone can have their own individualized plan that will WORK for them. Not in just helping them lose weight, but to give them back their life.
